What Next?

Stage 1 (September)
- Attendance at Open Evening or Open Day.
- Tour of facilities.
Stage 2
- Family decision as to which school will provide the best quality of education and care for your child.
- You might want to book a personal tour with the Academy Headteacher to help make up your mind.
Stage 3 (31 October Deadline)
- Online application with Manchster City Council.
- Apply now
Stage 4 (1 March)
- Manchester City Council offers secondary school place.
- Family accepts a place at TEMA.
Stage 5 (Spring)
- Family receives a welcome letter from TEMA inviting you to transition events and activities.
Stage 6
- Further information from your current primary school
- Student enrolment information (click here to find out what information we will need)
- If your child has an EHCP, a meeting will be arranged as soon as possible to support their transition
Stage 7
- TEMA will liaise with and visit primary schools to gather information and meet pupils. This will help us to get to know you and make your transition to our academy as smooth as possible.
Stage 8 (Summer)
- Join us for our Summer Term transition activities, including taster days, information evenings and summer holiday clubs. These are designed to help you find out more about the academy, get to know key staff members and feel more confident before starting in September.
Stage 9
- Your future starts with us in September and all of us here at TEMA look forward to meeting and welcoming you into our family learning community.

Your child's future starts here

Preparing for the move from primary to secondary school is very exciting but can also be a little daunting. We work really hard to make sure that every child who joins us feels well prepared.

Is Your Child Entitled to Free School Meals?
