Students outside the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, in December 2024

“Spend Spend Spend” at the Royal Exchange Theatre ( Published: 12/12/2024)

As part of the school’s commitment to showcase performing arts careers, Year 10 students were given the opportunity to take part in a visit to the Royal Exchange Theatre, and met one of the performers to learn about their training.

Students visited the Royal Exchange Theatre as part of their BTEC Performing Arts course. Based on the life of Viv Nicholson and directed by Josh Seymour, the carnivalesque musical comedy engaged the students from start to finish. It was a big-hearted experience for the Year 10鈥檚 as we approach the festive season.

This was a fabulous opportunity to watch the performance and meet George Crawford afterwards. Students gained an insight into how a professional company rehearse, create and choreograph.
