Musical Links with Local Primary Schools ( Published: 16/01/2023)
As part of Creative Arts’ commitment to developing links with feeder primary schools and the curriculum offer available, our music department has made links with feeder primary schools, to aid continuity for pupils moving from primary school to secondary education.
Our subject lead for music met with leaders of music at both and , to help develop consistency between primary school and secondary school curriculums.
We have had a very good start, with new schemes of work being developed ready for use in these primary schools. We hope that these partnerships will lead to a strong link between the schools, and will help to make the transition from primary school to secondary school smoother for all pupils in future.
