Chester Zoo Trip ( Published: 08/12/2025)

On Thursday 4th December 2025, our school enjoyed a brilliant educational trip to Chester Zoo with a group of 50 excited Year 7, 8 and 9 students.

From the moment we arrived, the pupils were eager to explore the different areas of the zoo and see the wide variety of animals. The visit gave everyone the chance to learn in a hands-on way, building on topics covered in science and geography lessons by observing real animals and their habitats.

Highlights of the day included seeing the penguins and giraffes, watching the elephant talk, and walking through the tropical house, where students were amazed by the free-flying birds and unusual reptiles. Many were particularly fascinated by the big cats and enjoyed reading the information boards to discover more about each species. Staff were proud of the students’ positive attitude, curiosity and excellent behaviour throughout the trip.

The visit was enjoyable, memorable and a wonderful opportunity for students to experience the natural world up close.
